Leopards Fall to Austintown Fitch in Sectional Final – Volleyball

Austintown Fitch 26-25-21-25, Louisville 24-21-25-11

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe #4 Seed Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team fell to the #5 Seed Austintown Fitch Falcons 24-26, 21-25, 25-21, 11-25 in the Division I Alliance Sectional Finals Thursday at Alliance High School. With the loss, the Lady Leopards finish the season with an overall record of 15-8.

Junior Sydney Bast led Louisville with a team-high 22 digs and was also the Leopards leading server with 10 service points. Sophomore Kendal Loy also recorded a team leading 3 solo blocks to lead the LHS defense.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThe Louisville offense was led by Juniors Amanda Clark and Paige Cole. Clark finished with a team-high 23 assists and Cole added a team leading 22 kills.

The Leopards defeated the Falcons in their last two meetings prior to Thursday. This included sweeping Fitch 25-16, 25-20 at the Austintown Quad back on September 21. In records dating back to 1996’s McKinley Tournament, the Falcons now lead the all-time series 3-2.

Louisville is now 12-13 in tournament play since entering Division I in 2007.
