Miglich Hits 7 Three-Pointers

Senior shooting guard Taryn Miglich hit home 7 three-pointers and finished with a game high 21 points to lead the Lady Leopards. Five of her 7 three-pointers came in the opening half.

Miglich was just one shy of tying the single half and single game record for three-pointers set by Paige Cole in 2021. Cole made 6 three-pointers in the first half at Youngstown Chaney en rout to finishing with a team record 8 for the game.

Other top scorers for Louisville included junior shooting guard Brooke Haren with 9 and sophomore shooting guard Courtney Barwick who added 8. Senior center Olivia Mayle and freshman shooting guard Taylor McCully also added 5 each for LHS.


Sallman Scores 17 to Lead Pioneers

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdSenior 6’3 center Jana Sallman scored 15 of her team high 17 points in the first half to lead Western Reserve Academy. She scored 9 points in the first quarter in helping the Pioneers build a commanding 21-8 lead out of the gate.

Western Reserve Academy edged Louisville in the second quarter 15-14 to extend their lead to 14 points by halftime. The Leopards cut their deficit to single digits with the Pioneers leading 45-36 by the end of the third quarter. However, the final margin would remain 9 as each team scored 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdOther top scorers for Western Reserve Academy included junior guard Jayden Brenneman with 12 and sophomore wing Maya Nahar who tacked on 9. Both junior guard Angelina Agresta and senior guard Arianna Myers also added 8 each for the Pioneers.

Louisville defeated Western Reserve Academy handily in each of the past two seasons prior to Saturday’s meeting. The Lady Leopards still lead the head-to-head series 2-1, but the series is now an even 1-1 when playing up in Hudson.
