Louisville Tops Tallmadge 5-2 in District Semifinal Rematch

The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team topped the host Tallmadge Blue Devils 5-2 Saturday Afternoon at Tallmadge High School Stadium. With their sixth straight victory, Louisville improves to 7-1 at the midway point of the regular season.
Porter-Kovaich Scores Twice to Lead LHS
Sophomore Dominic Porter-Kovacich scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards. He scored Louisville’s final first half goal that would prove to be the deciding factor in the contest. Porter-Kovacich also scored his fifth goal of the season in the second half.
Four Different Leopards Notch Scores
Four different players scored goals for the Leopards. Freshman Carter Burton scored his first career varsity goal to put Louisville on the board in the opening half. Junior Cam Young also scored a first half goal, his third of the year.
In the second half, junior Drew Dillen scored his team leading seventh goal of the season for LHS. Both second half goals were assisted by sophomore Kadan Swope.
Louisville Vs. Tallmadge Boys Soccer History
The Leopards have now won back-to-back matches against the Blue Devils including last year’s 2-1 DII Akron East 1 District Semifinal victory. Louisville leads the all-time series 4-1-3, which includes a 3-0-2 record in games played at Tallmadge in the series.
