Louisville Suffers 1st Loss at Stow 5-1 – Boys Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team fell on the road to the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs 5-1 Saturday Night at the Stow High School Soccer Stadium. The loss is the Leopards first of the season as they drop to 7-1-2 on the year.

Dillen Breaks Shutout with 2nd Half Goal
Senior Drew Dillen scored the lone Louisville goal in the 58th minute. Dillen received a pass from senior Jacob Sanders at the edge of the penalty box. He paused briefly, dribbled left around two defenders, and laced the ball into the left side of the net to cut the Stow lead to 3-1.
Wilson Scores Pair of Goals for Stow
The Bulldogs never trailed and took a 3-0 lead into halftime. Senior Carson Boyd put Stow on top off an assist from senior Davis Broghammer just 4:27 into the contest. Broghammer then found the back of the net 3:36 later via an assist from senior Rory Wilson.
Wilson would finish with a pair of unassisted goals to go along with that assist. He scored with 5:01 remaining in the opening half to make it 3-0. He would later tack on a his second goal with 11:45 left in the second half.
Senior Faris Amawi also scored with 1:05 remaining in the contest after intercepting a pass by the goalkeeper.
This was the first ever meeting between Louisville and Stow in boys soccer.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team will next host the Archbishop Hoban Knights on Tuesday, September 26. JV will begin at 5:00 PM from the Louisville High School Soccer Field and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
