The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Perry Panthers 60-54 Tuesday Night at Perry High School. With the loss, Louisville falls to 10-4 on the season.


3 Leopards Reach Double Digits Led By Barwick 

Jenny Can Cleaning AdFreshman Courtney Barwick made 3 three-pointers and scored a team high 13 points to lead the Leopards. Senior Kelsey Adelman also dropped in 12 and Taryn Miglich reached double digits with 11. Miglich also hit home 3 three-pointers and Adelman made a pair from beyond the arch as Louisville finished with 11 three-pointers as a team.

The Panthers led early on taking an 18-13 lead at the end of the first quarter and pulling out to a double digit 32-21 advantage by halftime. The Leopards cut into the deficit by outscoring Perry 19-12 in the third quarter as the Panthers took a 44-40 lead into the final stanza.


Randulic Leads Panthers with Game High 19

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLouisville would pull within single possession deficit in the fourth quarter, but could get no closer. Perry would convert 5 of 7 free throws in the final period to ice the contest at 60-54.

The Panthers were led by senior guard Meredith Randulic who scored 10 of her game high 19 points in the second half. Senior forward Izzy Centeno, senior guard Guscoff, and junior forward Macy Takacs all finished in double figures with 11 points each. Guscoff made 3 of Perry’s 5 three-pointers in the game.


Louisville and Perry Meet for 40th Time

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Lady Panthers have now defeated the Lady Leopards in each of the past two seasons. Perry won at Louisville 77-68 in the 2020-2021 season opener.

This was the 40th all-time meeting between the two former Federal League foes in girls basketball. The Panthers lead the all-time series 23-17 and are now doubling up the Leopards with a mark of 12-6 when playing at Perry in the series. Louisville has won just once against the Panthers in their last 6 trips to PHS in recent history.
