The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball team fell on the road to the host Northwest Indians 67-47. With the loss, Louisville heads into the postseason with a record of 12-9.

McCully Scores 12 to Lead Leopards

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdFreshman Taylor McCully made a pair of three-pointers and finished with a team high 12 points to lead the Leopards. Sophomore Courtney Barwick also made 3 three-pointers and finished with 11 points for LHS.

Other Louisville top scorers included seniors Olivia Mayle and Taryn Miglich who added 7 each. Junior Lexi Wasara also hit a pair of three-pointers in the first quarter as the Lady Leopards cashed in on 8 three-pointers as a team.


Bottomley Scores Game High 26 for Indians

Jenny Can Cleaning AdSenior center Lily Bottomley scored 14 of her game high 26 points in the opening half to lead Northwest. Senior shooting guards Ashley Cudnik and Gwen Lower also dropped in 10 each for the Lady Indians.

Northwest outscored Louisville in each of the first three quarters in building a 55-30 lead. The Indians outscored the Leopards 17-9 in the first quarter, 21-11 in the second quarter, and 17-10 in the third quarter. Louisville outscored Northwest 17-12 in the the fourth quarter to cut the final deficit to 20.

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieWith the loss, the Lady Leopards have now lost to the Lady Indians in five consecutive meetings dating back to the start of their most recent stint in 2019. Louisville stills leads the all-time series 27-23 overall, which includes a 13-12 mark in games played at Northwest.
