The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team fell to the host North Canton Hoover Vikings 9-2 Monday Evening at Dick Miller Field. The loss snaps Louisville’s 8-game winning streak as they head into districts with a record of 19-8.

Louisville Varsity Leopards out-hit Hoover Vikings Varsity 12 to five, but it wasn’t enough in a 9-2 loss on Monday
The Louisville Varsity Leopards struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hoover Vikings Varsity, giving up nine runs.
Hoover Vikings Varsity got things started in the second inning when Mason Angione drew a walk, scoring one run.
Louisville Varsity Leopards evened things up at one in the top of the third inning. Cooper Rice drove in one when Rice singled.
Hoover Vikings Varsity pulled away for good with eight runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Angione drew a walk, scoring one run, Jack Andes was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Mason Ashby drew a walk, scoring one run, Drew Stangelo drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Hoover Vikings Varsity, and Jack McKelley doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Ashby was on the pitcher’s mound for Hoover Vikings Varsity. The pitcher surrendered one run on five hits over four innings, striking out three.
Bryce Graziani led things off on the mound for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Graziani went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits and walking zero.
Louisville Varsity Leopards had 12 hits in the game. Zander Triplett and Zach Ganser each collected multiple hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Ganser and Triplett each collected two hits to lead Louisville Varsity Leopards.
