The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the host Nordonia Knights 3-0 Saturday Night at William Boliantz Stadium. With the victory, Louisville evens their mark at 1-1 on the young season.
Lab Records Hat Trick to Lead Louisville
Senior Natalie Lab recorded a hat track to lead the Lady Leopards. Lab broke the deadlock with a goal in the 15th minute via an assist from sophomore Alyssa Schillig. She followed that up with a header goal off a corner kick by senior Paige Folk with 4:45 remaining in the opening half.
In the second half, Lab netted her hat trick goal through a cluster of players in the 49th minute to give Louisville a commanding 3-0 advantage.
Mercier & Edgein Combine for Shutout
Junior Audrey Mercier and freshman Tristyn Edgein combined in goal for the Leopards shutout.
While the two teams have met various years in the preseason, this marks the first matchup between the two schools in girls soccer. Louisville also shutout Nordonia 2-0 in a one half scrimmage as part of the Strongsville National Soccer Showcase back on July 21.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next host the Alliance Aviators on Wednesday, August 23. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM.
