Louisville 12, Jackson 1, 5 Innings

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team run-ruled the host Jackson Polar Bears 12-1 in 5 innings Friday Evening at Jackson High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 13-1 overall and is now 3-0 against Federal League opponents.

Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Flashy Hat Fall 2016Kaycee Ollis batted 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI triples, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs scored to lead Louisville. Sydney McKeever also went a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and 3 runs scored and Teagan Rice hit a 3-run double as part of the Leopards 5-run fifth inning. 

Starting Pitcher Sarah Cantley pitched all 5 innings, gave up 1 run on 7 hits, and struck out 1 to improve to 10-1 on he year. Cantley also hit a 2-run double in the fourth inning to aide her own effort in the circle.

The Polar Bears (8-9) only run came when Amanda Oeder singled in Sophia Fornicola in the bottom of the fourth. Camden Malachowski also batted 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and Ellie Chevalier went 2-for-3 to lead Jackson.
