The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team fell to the host GlenOak Golden Eagles 2-1 Saturday Afternoon at Bob Commings Field. With the loss, Louisville falls to 0-2-1 on the young season.
Riley Adams scored the Leopards only goal in the second half to cut the Golden Eagles lead in half. However, Louisville would get no closer.
GlenOak scored both their goals in the first half. Josiah Foster scored at the 20:44 mark and Sebastian Melendez hit home on a PK with 2:34 remaining in the opening half.
The Leopards held a 12-11 edge in shots on goal. Golden Eagles Goalkeeper Michael Landis finished with a match-high 11 saves, while Joe Reynolds recorded 9 saves in goal for Louisville.
The Leopards have now dropped their past 7 meetings against the Eagles dating back to 2014. Louisville now trails the all-time series 0-16-2 which includes an 0-8-1 record when playing at GlenOak.
