The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team used a last minute goal to make history in shutting out the host GlenOak Golden Eagles 1-0 at Bob Commings Field Saturday. With their second straight victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the season.
Dillen Nets Game Winner with 14 Seconds
Junior Drew Dillen scored the game winning goal with just 14 seconds to play to lift the Leopards to their first ever victory over the Golden Eagles. Senior Ian Darrow delivered the assist on the play for Louisville.
Louisville Ends Drought Vs. GlenOak
Louisville had played GlenOak 19 times prior to Saturday, but had never been victorious. The Golden Eagles had won the last eight matchups in the series dating back to 2014. The Leopards now trail the all-time series 1-17-2, which includes a 1-8-1 record in games played at GlenOak in the series.
This is the second time the Leopards have shutout the Golden Eagles. Louisville tied GlenOak 0-0 in a weather shortened game at Bob Commings Field in 2013. The Leopards also tied the Golden Eagles 1-1 in a home game back in 2008.
