Leopards Swept at Home by Tornadoes – Swimming
The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams hosted the visiting Dover Tornadoes Friday Evening at the Louisville YMCA’s H.P. Bishop Natatorium. The Louisville Boys fell to Dover 138-21 to drop to 1-2 on the season. The Lady Leopards also suffered their first loss 98-72 to the visiting Lady Tornadoes in dropping to 3-1 on the year.
Boys: Dover 138, Louisville 21
Despite scoring in 8 different events, the Louisville boys swim team lost on Friday evening to the Dover Tornadoes. The relay team of Mike Conway, Ty Hopkins, Matt Conway and Bryce Puckett took third in the 200 and 400 relay events. Bryce Puckett and Mike Conway led the Leopards in scoring for the evening. Mike Conway claimed third place in the 200 Freestyle and Bryce Puckett took third in the 50 Freestyle. Ty Hopkins and Matt Conway swam personal best times for the season in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly respectively.
Girls: Dover 98, Louisville 72
The Louisville Leopards girls swim team suffered their first loss against the Dover Tornadoes Friday evening. Katelyn Claugus and Anya Willett led the Leopard girls in scoring by taking first place in events. Jenna McIntyre, Chloe Cole, Paige Anderson, Wini Sheets, Gracie McCoy, Taylor Dimmerling, Claugus, and Willett all had personal best times in events as well. The team of Claugus, Dimmerling, Willett and Reese Joliat claimed second in the medley relay team of Joliat, Willett, Dimmerling and Cole took second in the 200 Free relay. The 400 Free relay team of Leah Collins, McIntyre, Ashley Menegay and Claugus also placed for the Leopards.
