Leopards Strike Early, Earn Road Shutout at Carrollton – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team shutout the host Carrollton Warriors 2-0 Monday Night at Community Field. With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten on the young season with a record of 3-0-1.
Tapanga Smith scored a goal in each half to lead the Leopards. Her first goal came just 20 seconds into the contest via an assist from Gabby Smith. Her second was an unassisted second half score.
Louisville dominated Carrollton in shots 25-1 and in corner kicks 5-1. The Leopards controlled an estimated 98% of the game on the Warriors end. Louisville Goalie Amelia Henderhan earned her second straight shutout on defense.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in each of their past 8 meetings outscoring them 34-2 in that span. Louisville now leads the all-time series 14-0-1 which includes a perfect 8-0 record in matches played at Carrollton. LHS has now shutout CHS in their past 5 meetings overall and 11 times total.
The Lady Leopards have now already matched their win total from a year ago with this win in just their fourth game of the season.
