Chatelain’s Late Goal Lifts Louisville Past Canton South – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer edged the host Canton South Wildcats 2-1 Saturday Afternoon at Clyde Brechbuhler Stadium. With the win, Louisville ups their season record to 3-11.
Megan Chatelain scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Megan Hampe with 2:30 remaining to lift the Lady Leopards past the Wildcats. Chatelain also recorded an assist on Morgan Keelan’s game-tying goal in the 48th minute.
Canton South led at the half 1-0, but couldn’t find the net in the second half. The Leopards outshot the Wildcats 16-10 for the game which included an 10-8 advantage in shots on goal. Louisville also had the only 2 corner kicks of the contest.
Kenzie Brown finished with 5 saves for the Leopards who are now 12-0 against the Wildcats all-time. This was the first meeting between the two schools outside of the confines of the former Northeastern Buckeye Conference. Louisville is now 6-0 at Canton South all-time and has outscored the Wildcats a total of 78-3 overall in their twelve meetings.
