The #2 ranked Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling Team earned a 53-20 road win over the host #10 ranked Beaver Local Beavers Wednesday Evening at Beaver Local High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-2 on the season.
The Leopards scored the first 20 points of the match and the final 24. Louisville never trailed throughout as LHS wrestlers won 10 of the 14 bouts, winning by pin 6 times in the process.
Leopards Take Commanding 20-0 Lead
Dan Adams (120) and Garett Lautzenheiser (126) opened the evening with back-to-back pins. Pablo Castro (132) followed with a 6-1 decision and Davin Rhoads (138) won by technical fall 18-3 to extend the LHS advantage to 20-0.
The Beavers responded by winning 3 of the next 4 matches to cut the Leopard lead to 6. Devon Salsberry (145) and Jonathan Potts (170) both won by fall for Beaver Local. Logan Ours (160) also won by 21-5 technical fall for the Beavers. A hard fought 5-3 decision by Dan Kennedy was the lone win for Louisville during the Beaver Local rally.

Louisville Closes Match with 24 Unanswered
Brenden Severs (182) followed with a first period fall to extend the Leopards lead to 29-17. Payne Allen (195) then claimed a 5-3 decision to get the Beavers back to within 9 points.
Then Louisville strung together three straight first period pins to seal the match. Victors included Noah Peterson (220) in 1:51, Cameron Brazek (285) in 1:36, and Dylan Rhoads (106) with the fastest fall of the night in 0:41. Lacy Harvey (113) also won by forfeit in the final matchup of the evening.
The Leopards have now won three straight team duals over the Beavers. Prior to those matches, Beaver Local had won three straight over Louisville dating back to 2017.
