The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team fell on the road to the host Tallmadge Blue Devils 3-1 Saturday Evening at Larry Bagnoli Stadium. With the loss, Louisville now sits at 3-5-2 on the year.

Swope Breaks the Shutout
Trailing 3-0, Will Pochubay followed up on a deflected cross in the box. He was quickly double teamed by two Tallmadge defenders leaving Kadan Swope open for a direct shot. Pochubay centered the ball to Swope who used his left foot to lace a shot back the opposite way into the right side of the net.
The goal cut the deficit to 3-1 with 16:43 remaining, but the Leopards were unable to get any closer as the score remained unchanged the rest of the way.
Swope has now scored 2 goals on the season and Pochubay has also registered 2 assists on the year.
Three Different Players Score for Tallmadge
Brady Brazelton, Tyler Kobb, and Angelo Marella each scored goals for the Blue Devils. Goalkeeper Chase Watkins also finished with 8 saves for Tallmadge.
The Blue Devils are now 7-5 on the season following the victory.
Leopards Vs. Blue Devils Boys Soccer Series
The loss snaps Louisville’s 3-game winning streak and 5-game unbeaten streak against Tallmadge dating back to 2020. The Leopards had bested the Blue Devils in each of the past three seasons.
Louisville still leads the all-time series 5-2-3 overall, which includes a 3-1-2 mark when playing at Tallmadge in the series. The Blue Devils only other victory over the Leopards came in a 2-1 tournament win at Louisville in the 2017 sectional finals.

The Leopard JV shutout the host Blue Devils 1-0 Saturday Afternoon at Larry Bagnoli Stadium. With the victory, Louisville JV is now 5-4-2 on the season.
After a stalemate in the first half, the Leopards wasted no time in getting on the board in the opening minute of the second half. Cale Lindner pushed a pass downfield to Maddox Mayle who boomed the ball into the top right corner of the net. The score put Louisville on top 1-0 with 35:32 left in the contest.
The Leopards would hold that lead throughout as neither team scored the rest of the way. Justin Keister and Mason Ivey combined for the shutout in goal for Louisville.
