The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team rolled to a 13-5 victory over the host Poland Seminary Bulldogs Tuesday night at Dave Pavlansky Field. With the win, Louisville improved to 7-9 on the season and has now won two of its last three contests.

Daum Notches 5 Goals & 4 Assists to Lead Leopards

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdParker Daum turned in a huge all-around performance for Louisville, scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists to lead the Leopards. Daum scored twice during Louisville’s 6-0 opening-quarter run, added his hat trick goal in the closing seconds of the first half, then scored once in both the third and fourth quarters. He also assisted on goals by Karter Pawley, Kane Johns, Stephen Hann, and Dillyn Decost as Louisville continued to build upon its lead throughout.


Decost Records Hat Trick

West Main Vet Clinic AdDecost also had a big night for the Leopards, finishing with a hat trick. Decost opened the scoring just 33 seconds into the contest, added another unassisted goal in the third quarter, and completed his three-goal effort with a fourth-quarter score off an assist from Daum. He also set up one of Daum’s third-quarter goals to help fuel Louisville’s balanced attack.


Leopards Pounce on Bulldogs Early

Decost scored unassisted less than a minute into the match, and Daum followed 18 seconds later off an assist from Logan Galbraith to make it 2-0. Pawley then scored off a feed from Daum before Isaac Johnson’s faceoff-to-goal sequence pushed the lead to 4-0.

Then Hann intercepted a pass on defense to help ignite another Louisville scoring chance. He passed to Daum who converted to make it 5-0 midway through the opening quarter. Hudson Rich later added an unassisted goal with 1:54 left in the period as the Leopards built a 6-0 lead before Poland finally broke through on an Alex Cook goal in the closing minute.


Louisville Answers Every Poland Push

Poland showed some life in the second quarter with back-to-back goals from Connor Mould and Johnny Turner to trim the deficit to 6-3. Louisville answered just before halftime when Daum scored unassisted with 47.2 seconds left to make it 7-3 at the break.

The Leopards kept control in the third quarter. Johns scored off a Daum assist, Daum converted a setup from Decost, and Decost added another unassisted goal to stretch the lead to 10-3.

The Bulldogs cut the deficit to 10-4 late in the third quarter when Mould scored his second goal of the night, but Hann answered with 26.7 seconds remaining off an assist from Daum to give Louisville an 11-4 lead entering the fourth.

The Leopards then added fourth-quarter goals from Decost off an assist from Daum and Daum off a feed from Trevor Wyse to build their largest lead of the night at 13-4. Max Soubeyrand answered for Poland via an assist from Cook to cap the scoring.

Poland got goals from Cook, Mould, Turner, and Soubeyrand. Mould scored twice, while Soubeyrand recorded a goal and 2 assists to lead the Bulldogs in points.

With the loss, Poland drops to 1-9 on the season and has now lost three straight.


Leopards Defeat Bulldogs for Second Straight Season

The win improved Louisville to 2-0 all-time against Poland Seminary. After edging the Bulldogs 7-4 at home in their first meeting last season, the Leopards followed it up with a more decisive 13-5 victory on the road Tuesday night.
