Burton and Mayle Give Leopards 2-0 Lead
Carter Burton scored the lone first-half goal unassisted to put the Leopards on top first.
Louisville would never trail, as Burton assisted on a goal by Maddox Mayle in the second half to push the Leopard lead to 2-0.
Yoder Cuts the Deficit in Half for the Blue Streaks
Lake answered with a goal by Levi Yoder to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Louisville’s defense held the Blue Streaks off the board the rest of the way to seal the victory.
Leopard goalkeeper Justin Keister finished with 7 saves in earning the win.
Lake remains winless on the season, falling to 0-5.
First Victory at Lake in Team History
The result marks the Leopards’ first-ever victory at Lake in nine road meetings in the series. Louisville previously won at home against the Blue Streaks 3-0 for their only other victory in the series.
The Leopards are now 2-11-4 all-time against the Blue Streaks, which includes a 1-5-3 mark when playing at Lake.
