The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the host Cardinal Mooney Cardinals 1-0 Wednesday Night at Cardinal Mooney High School. With their third straight shutout, Louisville improves to 5-4-1 on the season.
Schillig Scores with 6 Seconds Left Before Half
Alyssa Schillig scored with 6 seconds remaining before halftime via an assist from Reese Riley to put the Leopards on the board.
It would prove to be the only goal of the contest as Louisville rode the 1-0 advantage all the way to the end.
Edgein Records Third Straight Shutout
Tristyn Edgein recorded four saves in goal for the Leopards en rout to earning her third straight shutout. Edgein now has four shutouts on the season.
Louisville led in shots on goal 7-4 and each team recorded a corner kick.
Leopards Vs. Cardinals Girls Soccer Series
The Leopards are now 2-0 against the Cardinals all-time in girls soccer. Louisville also shutout Cardinal Mooney 4-0 at Louisville Leopards Stadium on August 22, 2022.
