Louisville Opens Season with Road Victory at Boardman – Volleyball

Louisville 25-25-21-25, Boardman 21-15-25-18

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team began their 2025 campaign with a strong performance Wednesday evening on the road at Boardman High School. The Lady Leopards  defeated the host Boardman Spartans in four sets 25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 25-18.

McCully Leads Leopards to Opener Win

The Leopards attack was powered by Taylor McCully, who finished with a team-high 15 kills to go along with 9 digs and 2 aces.

Mabel Kiko added 10 kills and 2 blocks at the net, while Carlee Rhome orchestrated the offense with 22 assists and chipped in 3 aces from the service line.

Leopards Set the Tone Early

Louisville came out sharp, taking the opening set 25-21 before rolling to a dominant 25-15 win in the second. After Boardman rallied to extend the match with a 25-21 victory in the third, the Leopards closed the night in convincing fashion with a 25-18 fourth-set triumph.

JV: Boardman 25-23-25, Louisville 18-25-22

Freshman: Louisville 25-25, Boardman 20-19

Up Next: Louisville will continue its opening season road swing Thursday evening when they travel to take on the Canfield Cardinals. Freshman will begin at 4:30, JV will follow at 5:30, and Varsity will conclude the night after with an approximate 7:00 PM start.
