Leopards Tennis Earns 1000th All-Time Victory After Perfect Week

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team improved their winning streak to 12 as they defeated GlenOak, Canton South, United Local, and Marlington this week. Louisville now has a 12-1 overall record and a 7-0 record in NBC Play.
With these four wins, the Louisville Tennis Program as a whole (Boys & Girls) has now won 1,000 matches. The Boys have an all-time record of 507-187 (.731) and the Girls have an all-time record of 493-153 (.763). This makes their combined record 1000-340 (.746).

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete in the Louisville Doubles Classic on Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 PM. Their next dual match will come on April 29 at home against Salem.

April 21: Louisville 3, GlenOak 2
The most hotly contested contest of the week came when Louisville traveled to GlenOak on April 21. The Leopards came away with a 3-2 victory winning all three singles matches in straight sets.
With the victory, Louisville has now downed GlenOak in three consecutive meetings. However, the Golden Eagles still lead the all-time series 20-11.

The Leopards won every match in straight sets against visitingCanton South on April 22. #1 Singles Player Jake Pukys, #3 Singles Player Vic Knebl, and the #2 Doubles Team of Kyle Robinson & Kyle Shepherd held their opponents to no set points for the entire match.
The victory was Louisville’s 50th overall Canton South as they lead the all-time series 50-14. The Leopards have now won six straight over the Wildcats and 11 out of the last 13 in the series overall.

For the second consecutive night, Louisville won all their matches in straight sets against visiting United Local. Jake Pukys led the Leopards with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in #1 Singles.
The Leopards have never lost to the Eagles as they lead the all-time series 24-0. Louisville has shutout United Local in 14 of those victories.

Louisville earned their 1,000 victory as a tennis program with a 4-1 win at Marlington Thursday. Jake Pukys remained undefeated on the season in #1 Singles with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Nick Knebl also won in #2 singles a perfect 6-0, 6-0 and Vic Knebl won #3 Singles 6-1, 6-2. Both Doubles matches went into the third set with Kyle Shepherd & Kyle Robinson coming out on top in #2 Doubles 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 for Louisville.
The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes 8 straight times and lead the all-time series 62-5.
