Hannah Lemmon scored 11 points and 5 different Lady Leopards added 9 points each during a 57-27 rout of host Marlington Wednesday.  Clara Lemmon, Jordan Monnot, Hollyann Mullett Emily Nees, and Rachel Zeller were the players that scored nine each.

The Lady Leopards scored the first 13 points of the contest and held the Lady Dukes off the scoreboard for longer than four minutes.  Much like the game at Marlington two years ago, everything Beatty's Winter Hoodieswent in for Louisville in the first quarter.  Hannah Lemmon duplicated her game at Salem by having another huge opening quarter with 9 points.  Her sister Clara also added three buckets in the opening period to help Louisville build a 24-6 advantage after the first eight minutes.

After that, the defense did the rest.  The Dukes would make just one field goal in the second quarter and shoot just 2 of 8 from the free throw line in the period.  Free throw shooting was not the strength of either team as the Dukes shot just 25% (5 of 20) and the Leopards only connected on 38% (5 of 13) of their attempts from the line.  The Leopard defense also forced 22 Marlington turnovers, many of which led to fast break scores.

The Lady Leopards also connected on 4 three-pointers in the first half alone.  Clara Lemmon, Hannah Lemmon, Mullett, and Zeller were all part of the triple club and fittingly Louisville would lead 33-10 going into the locker room.

Monnot and Nees led the Lady Leps with 5 points each in a third quarter that saw them on a few occasions build a 32-point advantage.  Marlington played even with Louisville in the fourth quarter, but the damage had been done.

With the victory, the Leopards have now won 30 out of the last 31 games in the series with the Dukes including the last 16 meetings at Marlington.  The Lady Leps now lead the all-time series 58-16 and are 31-5 at Marlington all-time.  More importantly, the victory leaves Louisville an undefeated 4-0 in the NBC with undefeated Carrollton coming to the Jungle Saturday.
