Louisville 3, GlenOak 0

Lizzy Mont scored a pair of goals and Sarah Jaroszyk tallied home another as the Louisville Lady Leopards defeated the GlenOak Golden Eagles 3-0 in the DI Austintown Sectional Semifinals Monday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium.  The final score was identical to their win over GlenOak at Bob Commings Field back on September 8.

Beatty's Sports Grey Louisville Athletics T-ShirtLouisville first got on the board when Rachel Baughman crossed a pass from the left sideline all the way over to Jaroszyk who was to the right of the net.  Jaroszyk, who’s momentum was already carrying her forward, met the pass in stride and she rocketed it into the right side of the net for the score.

Louisville’s second goal of the game came after Kayla Shankel’s pass deflected off Baughman and slid over to the feet of Mont.  The Freshman Forward beat two GlenOak defenders, broke free to the right, and then shot back left just under the arms of the Golden Eagle goalie.

Mont was not finish though as she found herself with the ball in the goal box after a great pass by Jaroszyk from the right sideline.  Mont tipped the pass into the air then kicked the airborne ball into the net for her second score of the evening.  Jaroszyk’s assist was setup by great passing from both Sami Keefe and Rachel Baughman just seconds before.

With the victory the Lady Leps are now 14-2-1 on the season and will play Hoover Thursday in hopes of winning their first ever Sectional Title.
