FRESHMAN: Jackson 7-11, Louisville 6-4

Game 1

Nine Leopard errors allowed the Polar Bears to win a 7-6 extra inning affair.

Daichi Castles delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to put Louisville up 5-4.  A double play by the Leopards to start the seventh had them smelling victory. However, Jackson still managed to answer back with a two-out run. The Leopards failed to score in the bottom of the seventh and that sent the game to extra innings.

In the eighth, the Leopards got two quick outs but the Polar Bears still managed to load the bases. Next a routine groundout should have ended the inning, but an error allowed two Jackson players to score. Louisville managed to score a run in the bottom of the eighth, but it would not be enough as they fell 7-6.
