Lady Leopards Set School Record, Take 3rd At Jackson Sectional Preview – Girls Golf
Louisville – 330 (3rd Out of 12)
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team set a new school record in placing 3rd out of 12 teams at the Jackson Sectional Preview at Elms Country Club Wednesday. Louisville shot 330 as a team which is an all-time low in team history for an 18-hole course.
Alexis Ralston led the Lady Leopards by shooting a team best 79 for the day. Erin Strouse also carded an 81, both Abby Davis and Madison Gruber shot an 85, and Maddy Fowler tallied 100.
Anastasia Nikolaidis shot a tournament best 72 to lead the Jackson Polar Bears to a first place team finish with a score of 322.
Second place came down the Green Bulldogs and Louisville Leopards who both shot 330 as a team. The Bulldogs would end up claiming second place via a fifth man tie-breaker and the Lady Leopards would take third as a result.
Note: The Lady Leopards did initially set the school record in the Tri-Country Preseason Tournament on August 6, but a disqualification determined over the weekend changed the results and they did not achieve the record after all.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next return to Elms Country Club to take on the host Fairless Falcons on Thursday, August 15 at 1:00 PM.
