Jackson Homers Twice in Softball’s Win at Wadsworth

The Louisville Leopards got back on track with a 10-1 victory over the host Wadsworth Grizzlies Wednesday Evening. With the win, Louisville improves to 8-6 on the season.
Grace Jackson batted 4-for-5 with a pair of solo homers and 4 runs scored to lead the Lady Leopards. This marks the second time in her career that Jackson has homered twice in the same game. She also recorded a pair of home runs against Canton South last year. Jackson has now hit 6 of Louisville’s 15 home runs this year.
Savannah Miner also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double & 3 RBIs for Louisville. In the circle, the Leopards Kirsten Wharmby pitched a complete game 3-hitter, gave up no earned runs, and struck out 9. With the win, Wharmby improves her win-loss record to 4-3 on the year.
Louisville pounded out 16 hits as a team offensively. Katie Cozy also went 4-for-5 & scored 2 runs and Emily Cantley had 3 hits & scored a pair of runs as well. Cantley, Cozy, and Lexi Givens all drove in one run each.
