Meyer Takes 3rd as Lady Leopards Place 8th at Golden Eagle Invitational

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country team opened their 2025 season with a strong showing Saturday, finishing 8th out of 20 teams at the GlenOak Golden Eagle Invitational. Louisville tallied 242 points as a team.
The Leopards were the first team to get two runners, from the same team, across the line. Senior Kylah Meyer led the way for the Lady Leopards with a podium finish, placing 3rd overall in a time of 19:23.43. Junior Amelie Anderson followed close behind in 6th with a time of 20:01.73.
The varsity lineup was rounded out by Madelynn Bailey (74th, 23:47.61), Stella Blommel (84th, 24:24.34), Izzy Babcock (100th, 25:15.03), Abbriel Demos (124th, 26:29.48), Camryn Cline (125th, 26:30.93), and Khali Miller (139th, 28:43.63).
In the team race, Massillon Jackson captured the invitational championship with 71 points, narrowly edging Medina (76) for the title. CVCA rounded out the top three with 110 points.
