The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team opened up the 2025 campaign with a 3-1 win over the Louisville Alumni in the seventh annual Lady Leopards Soccer Alumni Game Friday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

Riley Scores Opening Goal

The Leopards struck first in the 24th minute when Reese Riley unleashed a shot from 22 yards out that soared over the Alumni goalkeeper and into the top of the net. The goal gave Louisville a 1-0 lead, which they carried into the halftime break.

Schillig and Lint Score Twice in 1:06

Louisville extended its lead with a pair of quick strikes early in the second half. Alyssa Schillig forced a turnover in the backfield and raced in on goal. She faked right to draw the goalkeeper out, then slotted a shot into the left side of the net to make it 2-0.

Just 66 seconds later, Schillig played a short pass to Kasey Lint just inside the penalty area. Lint lofted a perfectly placed shot over the defense and goalkeeper, the ball took one bounce before tucking into the far-left side of the net to extend the Leopard lead to 3-0 with 31:43 remaining.

Keelan Puts Alumni on the Board Late

Despite limited conditioning on the warm evening, the Alumni held firm down the stretch and prevented Louisville from adding to its lead. The Leopards appeared poised to coast to a 3-0 shutout—until 2022 LHS graduate Morgan Keelan had other ideas.

A pass intended for Keelan was initially knocked away by a Louisville defender, but Keelan fought to win it back and took off on a breakaway. With a defender closing in from her right and the goalkeeper charging ahead, Keelan split the two with a shot into the right side of the net to break the shutout with just 2:50 remaining.

Keelan has now scored in five straight Alumni Games, showcasing her impact on both sides of the rivalry. As a Leopard, she erupted for five goals to lead Louisville to a 7-4 victory in 2021. Since graduating, she has netted five more goals as an Alumni—scoring twice in 2022 and adding the lone Alumni goal in each of the past three matchups (2023, 2024, and 2025). That’s ten total goals across five appearances—five as a player and five as an alumna.

Leopards Remain Unbeaten Against Alumni

Neither side would find the net again in the final minutes, and the Leopards sealed a 3-1 victory to remain undefeated all-time in the Alumni Game. With the win, Louisville improves to 7-0 in the series dating back to the inaugural matchup in 2016.
