The Louisville Boys Track and Field team defeated Dover last night in the first dual meet of the season. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the new FinishLynx Timing System that was generously donated by the Ganser family! We so appreciate everything the Ganser family has done for our Track and Field program.

In bonus action the thrower’s 4×100 meter relay team consisting of Whipkey, Grimm, Cruz, and Brazek finished 2nd. The time was slow, but the effort was great.

The Varsity Track teams played host to the Dover Tornadoes on Monday at the Leopard Track. Dover played spoiler to the home opener defeating the Leopards 81-47. Senior Haley Ramsey and Freshman Sloane Sypolt picked up 16 of the teams points by going 1-2 in both the shot and discus. Ramsey taking the gold in the shot while Sypolt took the win in the Discus. Ma’Ryah Hargrove notched two wins in both the 100 and 200. Diana Pukys saw gold in the 400, Silver in the Long Jump and also picked up a third in the 200. Teammate Taylor Dimmerling was third in the 400 with a season best time of 68.49. Caitlyn Gatta took two seconds in the 800 and 3200 meter runs. Sophomore Molly Simpson earned a second place finish in the High Jump. Bailey Menegay ran her way to a third place finish in the 3200 meters.
