DI Alliance District Boys Basketball Seed Voting Matrix 2016

All of the DI Alliance District Boys Basketball Coaches have submitted their initial seed vote for the Tournament Draw that will take place around 2:00 PM Sunday.

The Louisville Leopards drew the 4th Seed for the tournament receiving 75 points in the voting after the maximum and minimum extremes were removed. The voting for Louisville was fairly consistent across the board as 4 schools voted them the 4th seed (Copley, Howland, Lake, Warren Harding), 6 schools voted them the 5th seed, and only Akron Springfield gave them their lowest ranking of 6th seed.

The Spartans received the least amount of votes in the voting and ended up with the 12th seed. Warren Harding received 8 of 11 possible first place votes to capture the top seed. Copley also received a first place vote and edged out Lake, who had the two other top seed votes, 89-88 in points for the 2nd & 3rd Seeds.

The Leopards have only faced one team from this District this season. They beat the #7 Seed Boardman Spartans 81-42 at home back on January 16. Louisville will also host #3 Seed Lake in the season finale on Tuesday, February 16.

The higher seed will play host to all Sectional Games (first two rounds), while all District Games will be played at the neutral Alliance High School. The Leopards should have a home game in their opening tournament contest.
