The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated the visiting Dalton Bulldogs 49-41 Saturday Afternoon at Louisville High School. With the victory, the Lady Leopards have now won 5 of their last 6 to improve to 12-4 on the year.


Haren and Loy Score Team High 10 for LHS

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdSophomore Brooke Haren and senior Kendal Loy each scored a team high 10 points to lead Louisville. Senior Kelsey Adelman also tallied 9 and junior Taryn Miglich added 7 for the Leopards.

Louisville led wire-to-wire after jumping out to a 5-0 first quarter lead. Senior Aubrey Thorne made a three-pointer from the right corner to break the ice at the 6:19 mark of the first quarter. Neither team would score again until Adelman laid in a basket with 3:31 to play in the first.

The Leopards would take a 13-6 lead into the second quarter and pull ahead by double digits at 26-15 by halftime. Dalton outscored Louisville 14-12 in the third quarter and 12-11 in the fourth quarter, but neither Bulldog effort was able to overcome the Leopard advantage.

Johnson Leads Dalton With Game High 15

Junior shooting guard Kylee Johnson made 4 three-pointers and scored 12 of her game high 15 points in the fourth quarter to lead Dalton. Junior shooting guard Ella Lunsford and sophomore Addesa Miller also added 9 points each for the Lady Bulldogs.

With the victory, the Leopards are now 1-1 against the Bulldogs all-time. Louisville fell at Dalton 58-56 last season.
