The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team shutout the visiting Cardinal Mooney Cardinals 5-0 Thursday at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves their record to 9-7. 

The Lady Leopards won all three singles matches in straight sets. Rachel Kibler won #1 singles 6-1, 6-1 over Marissa Landers 6-1, 6-1. Sherilynn Mullett won by a perfect 6-0, 6-0 count in #2 singles against Natalie Femia. In #3 singles, Jade Thomas also defeated Lauren Snyder 6-0, 6-2.

Louisville also won both doubles matches. The #1 Leopards doubles team of Bailey Menegay & Katie Yarnall defeated Mary Baker & Millie Heschmeyer in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. The #2 Louisville doubles team of Sophie Warner & Kora Woolfe rallied back from an opening set defeat to down the Mooney duo of Sophia Graziano & Kayla Jadue 3-6, 7-5, 10-7.

This was the first ever meeting between these two programs in girls tennis.
