The Louisville Leopards JV Football Team shutout the visiting Canton Central Catholic Crusaders 28-0 Saturday Morning at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
Junior Runningback Ethan Thomas scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Louisville offense. Thomas ran in a 4 yard touchdown on the Leopards opening drive on a 4th-and-1 play to give LHS a lead they would never come close to relinquishing. Thomas capped off his big day on the ground with a 25 yard touchdown run to the left sprung by the blocking of sophomore wide receiver Kalob Hannum. Sophomore wide receiver Kyle Vesely then hit Hannum on a short crossing route for the two-point conversion to make it 28-0.
At Linebacker, Thomas finished with a pair of sacks and was also involved in 2 tackles for a loss. The Louisville defense suffocated Central’s offense all morning long in unofficially sacking the Crusaders quarterback 7 times and stopping ball carriers for a loss on 9 other occasions. Sophomore linebacker Clay Chambers finished with 5 tackles for a loss, junior defensive lineman Dominic Jeffries recorded 1.5 sacks and a tackle for a loss, and sophomore defensive lineman Nate Curry had 2 sacks unofficially to highlight the Leopard defense.
UP NEXT: The Leopards JV will next travel to Wooster to take on the Generals on Saturday, October 3 at 10:00 AM.
