Boys Tennis Falls to Lake, but Earns Wins Over Central & GlenOak
The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis Team went 2-1 in a string of 3 non-conference matches in a span of 4 days. They were blanked 5-0 at Lake Friday, they returned the favor by shutting out Canton Central Catholic 5-0 on the road Saturday, and then edged GlenOak 3-2 Monday at LHS. Louisville is now 10-2 on the year.
April 18: Louisville 3, GlenOak 2
The Leopards Jake Pukys set the tone in #1 Singles by winning a perfect 6-0, 6-0.
The two doubles matches ended up determining the final tally. The #1 Doubles Team of Alex Hall & Kyle Robinson won 6-0, 7-5 and the #2 Doubles Team of Asa Herron & Zach Eddins notched a 6-3, 6-3 win for Louisville.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Golden Eagles four straight times. However, GlenOak still leads the all-time series 20-12.
April 16: Louisville 5, Canton Central Catholic 0
The Leopards won every match against the Crusaders in straight sets.
Jake Pukys led Louisville in #1 Singles with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory. Other Singles Winners included Kyle Shepherd 6-2, 6-1 and Spencer Hall 6-1, 6-3.
The #1 Doubles Team of Alex Hall & Kyle Robinson was victorious 6-2, 6-1 and the #2 Doubles Team of Zach Eddins & Asa Herron also won 6-0, 6-3 for the Leopards.
Louisville has won their past 4 meetings with Canton Central Catholic and leads the all-time series 6-3 overall.
April 15: Lake 5, Louisville 0
Louisville was shutout for the first time since falling at North Canton on May 5 of last year.
The Blue Streaks have now defeated the Leopards in three straight meetings. Louisville still leads the all-time series 20-13.
