Boys Soccer Ties Perry After Electrifying Finish

Both the Louisville Leopards and visiting Perry Panthers scored in the final 48 seconds of play to force a 
3-3 Tie Saturday Afternoon at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the tie, Louisville is now 1-3-1 on the season.
Bailey Adams beat the Panthers defense and laced the ball into the left side of the net to put the Leopards ahead 3-2 with just 48 seconds remaining. The score was setup by a perfect pop-up pass from Derek Zeller.
However, Perry drew a foul just outside of the box 22 seconds later. Their ensuing free kick attempt found the back of the net to tie the game at 3-3 with just 4 seconds remaining.
After surrendering a separate free kick goal at the start of the contest, Louisville took the lead with a pair of scores in a span of 41 seconds. Great diagonal passing right to left from Trevor Burk to Bailey Adams to Derek Zeller, setup Alex Stefanik’s goal with 11:29 left before the half. The Leopards showed off their passing skills once more on the next play when Micah Storlie pushed the ball ahead to Adams at midfield. Adams then slid a pass to the breaking Zeller who tapped it into the left side of the net to put Louisville ahead 2-1.
The Panthers would knot the game back up with 24:33 remaining in the second half and the teams would battle on.
Then, with approximately 15:21 left in the game, the power was zapped from Louisville Leopards Stadium causing the scoreboard to go out. Power was restored temporarily several times before the scoreboard remained dark for the final 10 minutes. This forced the referee to keep time on the field.
With an unknown sense of urgency, the two squads threatened their opponents goals several times before the outcome changed twice in the final minute. With the tie, the Leopards are now 2-2-1 against the Panthers all-time, which includes an 0-2-1 mark at home.
