Boys – (1st out of 32 Teams)

For the second straight year the Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team placed 1st at the GlenOak Golden Eagle Invitational. Their 81 Places eclipsed all 32 teams competing including second place Cleveland St. Ignatius who finished with 94.

Leading the way for the Leopards was Noah Chaplik who took 3rd Place overall with a time of 16:32.1. He finished only behind St. Thomas Aquinas’s Jacob Caniford (16:26.7) and race champion from Hudson Kyle Mau (16:00.3).

Ben Tornow also placed 8th, Nick Chaplik 13th, and Zach Fresenko 16th to round out the Leopards presence in the Top 25. Jacob Milburn passed four runners down the final stretch to capture 41st just ahead of teammate Christian Hendricks who took 42nd.

Louisville Boys Cross Country has now taken first place as a team in each of the two meets they’ve competed at this season. Their excellent start could be the beginning of a historical season!

Girls – 459 (18th out of 24 Teams)

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Cross Country team took 18th place out of 24 teams Saturday at the GlenOak Golden Eagle Invitational. The team finished with a total score of 459.

Haley Bradley (22:37.1) led all Louisville runners by finishing in 62nd place. The other top five Louisville Runners included Adriana Beaver (79th), Ashlee Beaver (95th), Isabel Kiko (112th), and Amy Yu (135th). There were a total of 190 runners that competed in this race.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the East Canton Invitational on Thursday, August 28. The Girls will race at 4:30 PM and the Boys will race beginning at 6:30 PM.
