Baseball Triumphs in 7th Inning at Perry

Louisville 3, Perry 2

The Louisville Leopards edged the host Perry Panthers 3-2 Friday Night. With the win, Louisville is now 14-8 on the year.

Stephen Kerzan singled home Joe Crank in the top of the seventh for what proved to be the game-Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Baseball Shirt 2015winning run for the Leopards. Alex Hewitt pitched the first six innings, gave up 0 earned runs on 7 hits, and struck out 4 to lead Louisville on the mound. Adam Nyland pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to record the save.

Marco Buccasso also went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI single. Dalton Deckerd drove in the Leopards other run as well.

The Panthers were led by Drew Galayda and Kale Lancaster who had 2 hits a piece.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to New Philadelphia to take on the Quakers at 5:00 PM. JV will host New Philadelphia and Freshman will travel to Boardman at the same time.

The Leopards JV Squad scored a run in each of the first four innings and held on for a 4-3 win over the visiting Panthers. With the win, Louisville is now 17-3 on the year.

Issac Mathie finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs to lead the Leopards. Mathie also started on the mound & picked up the victory.

Brennan Seemann also drove in 2 runs and earned the save on the hill in the seventh. In addition, Corey White batted 2-for-3 and scored twice for Louisville.
