The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team defeated the visiting Cardinal Mooney Cardinals 6-1 in their regular season finale Tuesday evening at West Main Vet Clinic Field. With the victory, Louisville heads into the postseason with a mark of 12-13.

Katelynn Miller was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 11 strikeouts in Louisville Varsity Leopards’s 6-1 victory over Cardinal Mooney Varsity Cardinals on Tuesday. Miller gave up four hits and one run over seven innings while walking one.
Louisville Varsity Leopards jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Miller doubled, scoring one run, and Kaitlin Twinem homered to left field, scoring two runs.
A single by Addy Campbell extended the Louisville Varsity Leopards lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
Alexis McKinstry (2029) stepped in the circle first for Cardinal Mooney Varsity Cardinals. The starter allowed eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking two.
Anna Sirohman led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits in three at bats. Twinem and Bailee Griffith each drove in two runs for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Louisville Varsity Leopards were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Campbell had the most chances in the field with 11.
Grace Rinaldi (2028), Giada DeSantis (2028), Angela Bettura (2028), and Lily Sardich (2029) each collected one hit for Cardinal Mooney Varsity Cardinals. Rinaldi (2028) went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Cardinal Mooney Varsity Cardinals were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Audrina Jablonski (2029) made the most plays with 13.
Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Ursuline Irish on Thursday.
