Kylah Meyer Breaks School Record Louisville Leopards Cross Country 2025 at Wooster Invitational

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country Team competed at the Wooster Invitational this past Saturday that featured over a thousand varsity runners. The Lady Leopards competed in the DI/DII race and finished with 295 team points to take 11th out of 19 Division II teams.


Meyer Smashes 15-Year Old School Record

Senior Kylah Meyer delivered a historic performance Saturday at the Wooster Invitational, finishing 2nd overall in the DI/DII race with a school-record time of 18:10.52. Her time eclipses the previous program best mark of 18:19.8 set by Mackenzie Rankin in 2010 and stands as the fastest Louisville girls time ever in any race.

Meyer also clocked the top time amongst Division II runners. She finished only behind Division I runner Kaitlyn Reese, of Avon, who stood out amongst the pact with a time of convincing time of 17:15.45. 


Anderson Places 15th for Louisville

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdMeyer’s 1-point team score and another top-15 finish from junior Amelie Anderson (15th, 19:14.88) powered the Leopards to a team average time of 20:59 with a 5:30 1–5 split.

Rounding out the scoring five were junior Madelynn Bailey in 21:32.28 (141st, 73 points), freshman Stella Blommel in 22:18.37 (180th, 97 points), and sophomore Camryn Cline in 23:41.37 (225th, 113 points).


Additional Varsity/Displacers

Corey Street for Mayor AdSophomore Abbriel Demos (245th, 25:06.31) and sophomore Evelyn Kandel (247th, 25:25.11) added depth as Louisville’s sixth and seventh runners, serving as displacers with team scores of 124 and 125. Freshman Khali Miller also competed for the Leopards, finishing in 28:21.21 (255th) amongst a field of 277 runners.


Avon and Wadsworth Take Team Titles

In the Division II team standings, Wadsworth captured the meet title with 74 points, followed by Bay with 109 and Tallmadge with 135. 

In Division I, all five Avon runners finished in the top 25 in DI/DII and did not tally up more than 12 points. The Eagles ran away with the team title with a score of 35. Hudson finished in a distant second with a team score of 66, which was still significantly ahead of Jackson who placed third as a team with a score of 105.

Meyer Sets Tone as Teammates Improve

This was a statement day for Meyer—taking down a 15-year-old record and leading a pack that continues to trend faster week to week. With Anderson joining her in the top 15 and the rest of the scoring five closing gaps through the middle, Louisville put together a solid team score against a deep DII field.
