Pawley Opens the Season with Two Long Scores

Louisville wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Karter Pawley sprinted 70 yards for a touchdown on the Leopards’ very first play from scrimmage. Ryker Youngen’s extra point kick gave Louisville a quick 7-0 lead just 14 seconds into the game.

New Philadelphia answered back just minutes later when their defense scooped up a fumble and returned it five yards for a touchdown. The Quakers then took advantage of an interception returned inside the Louisville 15. On the next play, they cashed in on a 12-yard touchdown run and tacked on the extra point to go ahead 14-7.

The Leopards responded before the end of the quarter as Pawley broke free again, this time for a 60-yard touchdown run that capped 3 play, 70-yard drive. Youngen’s kick tied the contest 14-14 with 34 seconds to go in the opening quarter.
