The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team defeated the visiting Lake Blue Streaks 6-1 Monday Evening at Andy Aljancic Field. The victory ends the Leopards three-game skid as they improve to 2-4 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Leopards Defeat Lake Blue Streaks Varsity

Louisville Varsity Leopards topped Lake Blue Streaks Varsity 6-1 on Monday at TBD.
Louisville Varsity Leopards opened the scoring in the third after Zander Triplett tripled, scoring one run.
Louisville Varsity Leopards scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Luke Seaman singled, scoring one run, Grayson Brunoni grounded out, scoring one run, Triplett doubled, scoring two runs, and Brock Leghart doubled, scoring one run.
Blake Johnson earned the win for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starter surrendered three hits and one run over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five. Noah Kubasky took the loss for Lake Blue Streaks Varsity. The lefty went three and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking four. Caleb Mayle pitched two and one-third innings of scoreless ball for Louisville Varsity Leopards in relief. The pitcher allowed two hits, striking out two and walking none.
Brunoni and Triplett were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards while hitting back-to-back. Triplett provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Louisville Varsity Leopards with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day.
Aaron “AJ” Michell and Kubasky were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lake Blue Streaks Varsity while hitting back-to-back. Kubasky led Lake Blue Streaks Varsity with one run batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Lake Blue Streaks Varsity turned one double play in the game.
Louisville Varsity Leopards play at home on Thursday against Lake Center Christian in their next game.
