The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team upended the host Western Reserve Academy Pioneers 68-38 Friday Evening at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson. With the win, Louisville improves to 7-11 on the season.
Seniors Paige Cole and Sherilynn Mullett both scored a team-high 11 points each to lead the Lady Leopards. All of Cole and Mullett’s points came in the first half. Altogether 12 different Louisville players scored during the game. Other top scorers included freshman Brooke Haren with 9 and junior Aubrey Thorne with 8.

Leopards Outscore Pioneers 28-5 in 2nd Quarter
Louisville led 23-17 at the end of the first quarter before taking complete command of the game in the second quarter. The Lady Leopards outscored the Pioneers 28-5 in the second period en rout to pulling ahead 51-22 by halftime.
Louisville extended their advantage to 62-28 at the end of the third quarter. Western Reserve Academy outscored LHS 10-6 in the fourth quarter, but the Lady Leopards still rolled to a 30-point victory.

Blackwell Leads WRT with Game-High 13
The Pioneers were led by freshman Kaylynn Blackwell who scored 9 of her game-high 13 points in the opening quarter. Freshman Kate McMullin also scored 7 and freshman Kylah Wellington added 6 for WRT.
This was the first ever meeting between the two girls basketball programs.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to face the Dalton Bulldogs on Saturday, February 6. JV will begin at 11:30 AM and Varsity will follow around 1:00 PM.
