Beatty's Sports Football 2018 Schedule Shirt T-ShirtThe Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated the host Akron Firestone Falcons 56-47 Friday Night at Firestone High School. With their third straight victory, Louisville now holds a 4-3 record on the season.

Collin Chambers and Dakota Hoffman both scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Leopards. Scotty Gonow also reached double figures with 10 for LHS.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdLouisville shutout Akron Firestone in the opening quarter 11-0. This was the first time the Leopards held a team without a field goal in the first quarter since outscoring Akron North 19-1 in the opening period on December 10, 2013.

Louisville would extend their advantage to 27-11 by halftime and pulled ahead 40-22 at the end of three. The Falcons chipped into the lead by outscoring the Leopards 25-16 in the fourth quarter, but LHS still cruised to victory.

Akron Firestone was led by Juan Jackson who hit 4 three-pointers and scored 15 of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter. Darrion Rackley also made 3 three-pointers to finish with 9 and Montel Tatum scored 7.

The Leopards are now 2-0 against the Falcons. Their other win against Firestone was a 63-52 victory at Louisville last season.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to face the North Canton Hoover Vikings on Saturday, December 28. JV will begin at 4:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 5:30 PM.
