Boys Cross Country Wins 8th Straight NBC Title With Clean Sweep
Boys – 15 (1st Out of 8)
The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team finished first at the NBC Meet Saturday at Salem. All of the top 6 runners were from Louisville as they finished with the best possible 15 total places. Nick Thomas won the individual title for the Leopards with a time of 17:02.6.
Also placing in the top 5 for Louisville was Noah Chaplick, Nick Chaplick, Ben Tornow, and Zach Fresenko. Andrew Milburn also placed 6th and Sean Gronow 9th meaning that all 7 of the Leopards runners placed in the top 10.
The Louisville Boys Cross Country has now won 9 NBC Titles overall and this includes the last 8.
The Boys Middle School squad also placed 3rd overall. Seth Gronow was the Leopards top runner placing 3rd individually. Marlington won the Boys Middle School Meet.
Girls – 91 (3rd Out of 8)
The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Cross Country team took third at the NBC Meet at Salem Saturday with 91 total places. Haley Bradley finished as the Lady Leopards top runner by taking 8th place overall with a time of 21:10.7.
Also placing for Louisville were Isabel Kiko (12th), Ashlee Beaver (15th), Adriana Beaver (23rd), Spencer Duvall (33rd). Anna Wade also placed 35th and Ashley Smith placed 41st.
Carrollton took 1st place overall and Marlington placed 2nd. Louisville had won four consecutive NBC Titles before this year.
The Girls Middle School squad also placed 2nd overall. Hannah Ohman was the Leopards top runner placing 3rd individually. Minerva won the Girls Middle School Meet.
