#6 Top Moment: Cross Country Sweeps NBC, Dynasty Continues

Louisville Leopards Cross Country NBC Meet 2012

On October 13, both the Louisville Boys and Girls Cross Country teams captured first place in the NBC Meet at Minerva High School. The two NBC Championships continued a dynasty for both squads as it was the boys 7th consecutive title and the girls 4th straight NBC Championship.

Both Nick Koczwara for the Boys and Mackenzie Rankin for the girls took first place individually in each of their respective races. It was the second first place finish of Rankin’s career at the NBC Meet as she finished 30 seconds ahead of the next closest competition.

Also for the girls: Michelle Stamp placed 3rd, Sarah Davis 6th, Haley Bradley 9th, and Isabel Kiko 11th. The Lady Leopards finished with a team score of 30.

Also for the boys: Nick Thomas placed 3rd, Andrew Milburn 9th, Sean Gronow 11th, and Ben Tornow 12th. The Leps Boys finished with a team score of 36.

Winning the NBC has become the norm in the sport of Cross Country at Louisville and this well-oiled machine shows no sign of stopping.
