Zeller Ties School Record with 4 1st Half Goals to lead Boys Soccer
Louisville 7, Ellet 1
Derek Zeller tied a school record by scoring four goals in the first half of the Louisville Leopards 7-1 victory against the host Akron Ellet Orangemen Saturday. With the victory, Louisville improved to 3-8-1.
Zeller scored his fourth goal of the contest with 16:32 remaining in the first half to tie Aaron Wiseman for the most goals in a single half by a Leopard. Wiseman scored four goals in the first half at Canton South back on August 29, 2006.
Bailey Adams also netted a goal in a first half where the Leopards took a 5-0 advantage. Mitch Perez and Ian Ford added goals in the second half for Louisville as well.
Zeller’s four goals in a regular season game also ties the team record held by Andrew Adams, Nick Meadows, Aaron Wiseman thrice, and earlier this year by Austin Terra against Fairless. Zeller as a Freshman is the youngest Leopard to ever accomplish this feat. Below is the updated list of four-goal performances by Louisville Boys Soccer players:
