Wrestling Downs North Canton, Falls to Perry at State Duals

Louisville Leopards Wrestling 2015 Vs. Minerva Lions

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling team competed at the 2015 OHSAA Wrestling Dual Team Tournament in Division I, Region 4 held at Perry High School Wednesday. Louisville defeated North Canton Hoover 39-30 before falling to defending State Champion Perry 65-9 in the Sub-Region 4-B Semifinals.

Beatty's Sports Leopard Winter Coat copy Three different Louisville Wrestlers won by fall as the Leopards defeated the Vikings 39-30. Andy Graham (106), Ryan Jakubiak (113), and Michael Seaman (132) recorded the pins to lead Louisville.

Brock Mehl (152), Alex Lycan (170), and Nick Nappi (285) all earned decisions for the Leopards as well. Both Logan Skolosh (138) and Max Marino (220) also won via forfeit for LHS.

Perry 65, Louisville 9

The Panthers won by pin 7 times against the Leopards during a 65-9 rout. Highlights for Louisville included Nick Nappi pinning Jarod Brown in 5:03 during the 220 matchup and Andy Graham winning an exciting 1-0 decision over Perry’s Kyle Gruber.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Marlington to take on the Dukes on Thursday, February 5 at 7:00 PM.
