Louisville Varsity Leopards Take Down John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles A Little At A Time

Louisville Varsity Leopards kept adding on runs in a 6-0 victory over John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles on Monday.

Louisville Varsity Leopards got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Zander Triplett grounded out, and Trevor Burick singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Louisville Varsity Leopards added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Louisville Varsity Leopards scored on a passed ball, and Burick doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

Grayson Brunoni earned the win for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Dom Ryan took the loss for John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles. The starter went three innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Burick and Triplett each threw shutout innings for Louisville Varsity Leopards in relief.

Burick drove the middle of the lineup, leading Louisville Varsity Leopards with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-2 on the day. Cooper Rice stole two bases. Louisville Varsity Leopards turned two double plays in the game.

Andrew Lapolla and Trevin Rinck each collected one hit for John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles.

Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Massillon Tigers on Tuesday.
