Volleyball’s Conference Hopes Slip Away at Carrollton

Carrollton 20-23-25-25-15, Louisville 25-25-18-20-11

The Louisville Leopards fell to the host Carrollton Warriors in five sets 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-11 Beatty's Sports Yellow Long Sleeved ShirtThursday evening at CHS. With the loss, Louisville falls to 14-6 overall and 9-3 in the NBC. With the win, Carrollton improved to 18-1 overall and clinched a share of the conference with an 11-1 record in league play.

The Lady Leopards won the first two sets, but couldn’t hold back the #12 state-ranked Lady Warriors who stormed back to take the final three sets. On a positive note, Carrollton has lost just 8 sets all season and 5 of them have been against Louisville.

Lady Leopards Offensive Leaders included Grace Jackson with 10 points & 1 ace serving, Brynn Guist with 19 Kills, and Haley Shadle with 58 Assists. Louisville Defensive Leaders included Emily Hollifield & Sarah Lairson with 2 Blocks each and Rachel Mathie with 30 Digs.

JV: Carrollton Won in 2 Sets

Louisville JV now 16-1, 11-1

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Alliance Aviators on Tuesday, October 7. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 6:00 PM. Senior Night will take place in between the two contests.
