Volleyball Sweeps Carrollton to Clinch NBC Outright

The Louisville Lady Leopards Varsity Volleyball team swept the host Carrollton Warriors 25-13, 25-10, 25-17 to clinch the NBC Outright at CHS Thursday Evening. With the victory, Louisville finishes the regular season with a mark of 19-3 and ends league play with a final record of 13-1.

Grace Jackson led the Leopards with a team-high 17 digs and was the match’s top server with 13 points and 3 aces. Brynn Guist and Sarah Lairson also had 3 blocks each to lead the defense.

On offense, Georgia Kiko threw down a team-high 13 kills and Paige Haren finished the night with a team-leading 37 assists.

Louisville dominated the first two sets. The Warriors did take a 7-3 lead to start the third set, but the Leopards rallied with 5 straight points to take an 8-7 lead. They never trailed again en rout to their fifth Outright NBC Title in school history (7th overall).

The victory is Louisville’s first at Carrollton since they swept the Warriors 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 back on September 13, 2012. That was the last season the Leopards won the NBC before this year. Louisville has now won 3 out of their last 4 matches against Carrollton overall.
